EVERYDAY OLYMPICS || £1 Shop visit

I decided to visit the £1 shop to gather materials and items that I could use to create a costume and tools.

Successes

- I found lots of fun items - particularly cleaning tools - that I immediately had ideas for adapting into UWWC gear.

What I bought:

- Loofahs

- Car sponges

- Mop heads

- Gloves

- Wool

- Seatbelt pads

- Slippers

I also ordered a bright pink Speedo swimming costume from Amazon.

- I had good ideas following my purchases e.g. I thought I could sew a sponge to a glove to assist with washing without dropping the sponge and it floating to the surface.

Could do better

- I set about making the outfit. I think I got overexcited and did things without thinking about it too much. I finished the costume quickly and realised that actually it was not particularly practical and did not assist with the sport in many ways.

- If I were to do it again I would plan more carefully. I did not spend long designing before I dived in and started making.
