Successes
This morning I asked some of my peers from the graphics pathway to read the description of the Plimpy and draw their interpretation of it independently of one another. This was a good exercise as my goal was to create a creature where viewers would fnd it was exactly as I pictured it. However, I was questioned on the relevance of this exercise and I agree that it probably wasn't necessary and that it should probably be my artistic interpretation of the text.
However, I found that my peers did very similar drawings to one another, and in turn they were very simialr to my own. This was encouraging because it assured me that I could create something that would appeal to a wide audience whilst still being true to my own artistic ideas.
- Researched the different elements of the beast: round fish, long legs and webbed feet.
- I couldn't find any other visualisations of the Plimpy on the internet, which was good because it means I'm doing something new.

Could do better
- Could have experimented with combining these elements. Might have been fun to do a kind of mix and match exercise taking parts from different animals and fish to make something strange that fits the description of the plimpy.
