Today I began sketching my character, Pirate, from different angles to really get an idea of what he looks like and the form his robotic body and armour take. I also sketched a normal rabbit's face to help me see how a human one would have to be altered to mimic it. I was pleased with my research drawings and I now feel much more confident about recreating the character.
Though I have done it before, I researched in greater detail about how to use cotton wool with latex to achieve decent amateur prosthetics. I feel that this reinforced my confidence. I will practise with these materials in the next few days. I also explored other ideas. I have noticed that fur accessories are very on trend for Winter 2015. Also soft and fluffy, I thought about how I could use cotton wool to make an accessory. I decided that it would work best on a bag. Perhaps I will draw up some ideas for this tomorrow. I am thinking that a fluffy white backpack would look quite interesting.
I am pleaseed with today's work. I have developed my ideas and boosted my confidence in them. I think I need to do some experimentation and further drawings to really establish my ideas and begin to bring them towards completion, as well as deciding on a final idea. Whatever I make, it will be quite a difficult task so I would really like to spend as much of next week as possible working on practising and realising my ideas.
